Psychoanalytically Trained Social Worker

I’m Wes Gosselin, LCSW—an analytic psychotherapist and graduate of The University of Tennessee’s M.S. Clinical Social Work. My background and training has been in a historical study of psychoanalysis and through extensive psychoanalytic supervision; my ongoing study is in the more contemporary literature (Winnicott, Bion, Ogden, to name a few).

In my clinical practice, I see young adults and adults by tele-health across Tennessee, working on Eastern Standard Time, while living abroad in Portugal. I have no preferred “patient type” but rather enjoy working across a wide variety of humanity. Nonetheless, I work especially well with folks struggling with longstanding troubles, characterological issues, and emotional difficulties. As a clinician, I value steadiness, honesty, and plain speech. If you’re wondering whether I might be a good fit for you, please contact me and we’ll think it through together.
